All content of the Site is protected by copyright, database and other intellectual property rights. Specific copyright holders are identified in the appropriate pages and sections, including captions for images. In all other instances, copyright is retained by the Society of Antiquaries of Scotland. Images of people, places, artefacts or others displayed on the Site are either property of, or used with permission by the Society of Antiquaries of Scotland. Any unauthorized use of the images may violate copyright laws, trademark laws, the laws of privacy and publicity, and communications regulations and statutes.

Every effort has been made to trace the copyright holders for images and text. Where this has not been possible, or if any copyright holders have been inadvertently overlooked, ScARF will be pleased to make the necessary changes.
